About the Student Council

The Student Council at RMU is a dynamic self-governing body that represents the voice and interests of students, playing a key role in enhancing campus life and advocating for student rights and initiatives.

Structure and Purpose

The RMU Student Council acts as the official student representative body, encouraging leadership, unity, and development among students from all academic years and faculties.

  • Fosters student engagement through educational, cultural, and social events
  • Provides feedback to the university administration on behalf of students
  • Helps resolve student issues, from academic concerns to dormitory life
  • Organizes volunteer and charity activities throughout the academic year

Main Activities

Throughout the academic year, the Student Council hosts and coordinates:

  • Freshers’ Day and cultural celebrations
  • Health and wellness awareness campaigns
  • Inter-university competitions and knowledge quizzes
  • Sports tournaments and recreational outings
  • Volunteer projects and social outreach programs

Leadership & Composition

The Council is composed of elected representatives from each faculty and year. It is headed by a President and supported by Vice Presidents, General Secretaries, and Committee Heads. Positions include:

  • President

  • General Secretary
  • Heads of Events, Sports, Academics, and Welfare

How to Get Involved

All students at RMU are eligible to join or run for the Student Council. Elections are held annually, and participation is encouraged for those who want to contribute to student life and leadership development.
